My Dog Tried To Eat My Wheeled Holdall
I love my dog, Mutsee. I play around with him every time I arrive home from work in the afternoon. He’s not just a dog but part of the family. Ever since a puppy, he’s had me hooked. He’s similar to the dog portrayed in the film “Marley and Me” – noisy, always misbehaving and very friendly. Unfortunately he does not follow orders unless you have food in your hands. Worst of all, Mutsee has a habit of chewing anything he fancies. In the movie Marley was considered, “the world’s worst dog.” I classify my Mutsee as “the world’s second worst dog.”
Just the other day he started chewing away at my large wheeled holdall. He started at one of the corners and had been going for at least half an hour until I finally caught him. In a panic I carefully checked the bag for damage and to my enormous surprise found that there wasn’t any at all. I think it’s down to the fact that the bag is made from an semi-rigid EVA composite that is highly durable. I also think that the rubberized protective coating also helped. I can see the saliva marks but they rubbed right off. It looks good as new.
I’m so impressed with the materials used on hard suitcase models and holdalls on the market today. They’re designed to withstand all the knocking and bumping that happens as part of every day air travel. They’re also impervious to water, dirt and moisture as well as being scratch resistant. The latest designs have four spinning wheels that can move in any direction. Mine are built right into the framework and structure of the bag so they should last for a long time.
I still love my dog. I realize that the reason he is still disobedient and chews things despite now being an adult dog is that I didn’t spend enough time training him. Don’t blame the dog for misbehaving, blame the owner.
