For most of people, the only thing that hinders them from that perfectly sculpted body, like that of a god or goddess, is those pesky belly fats. Whether is born out of countless and countless hours of eating at fast food joints, or binge drinking, belly fats are not very pleasant to look at. This is most evident in women, whose main asset, are the curves in their bodies, and in some men, wherein, their 6-pack abs are often covered by fat belly blobs, or as we call them, love handles. Weight loss is often the solution for this, however, in some cases, it is not enough, and some who are already in the right weight still have these pesky love handles.

For those who are having the same problems stated above, these tips on how to lose belly fat, as well as reminders will certainly help in burning and shedding those love handles away.

  • The most important thing to remember, in order to lose belly fat, one must change his/her concept about belly fat. No, countless hours of sit-ups and crunches will not help burn belly fat. They form the abdominal muscles, but, they don’t burn the belly fat all throughout. In order to lose belly fat, one needs to drastically change his/her lifestyle, and this includes their diet and exercise regimen. Go on a diet, and no, don’t go on those well-advertised and heavily-marketed diet regimens that promise to help shave off those extra pounds and belly fat. Cut down on fatty-food. Avoid soft drinks, canned fruit juices, chocolate juices and alcohol at all costs. Drink water, lots and lots of water. Treat your diet as a lifestyle and in doing so, losing belly fat and weight will be a whole lot easier.
  • One of the main causes of belly fat, is not binge-drinking, but rather, stress. Stress increases the production of cortisol, in which, is the hormone responsible for the production of fat, and most especially, belly fat. So, find a way to relieve stress. Go for a walk, play ball, go swimming, hang out with friends and etc. This also helps avoid emotional eating, which, is also one of the main causes of obesity and belly fat.
  • Run. Run. Run. Burn those calories. If not run, then walk, jog, swim, or do any other cardiovascular activities, as long as it keeps the body moving, the sweating trickling, and the calories burning. The most important way to shave off those belly fat calories is to burn them.
