Two Non Surgical Rhinoplasty Procedures
There are many reasons why a person might want rhinoplasty treatment in some form or another. There are the obvious cosmetic reasons such as reshaping or reducing the size of the nose as well as some medical reasons such as clearing obstructed breathing passages. What many people might not realize is that any surgery is a serious matter and best to be avoided whenever possible which is why it is fortunate there are various non surgical rhinoplasty options available.
The first is laser rhinoplasty which is more of a skin treatment than actually correcting the shape of the nose. It takes off old skin and thus revealing younger, healthier new skin cells underneath by using a laser to cause superficial damage. The body will naturally shed the old skin cells that have been damaged by the laser. The cost of laser rhinoplasty is not cheap. Such a treatment can cost several thousand dollars so it is a good idea to do sufficient research before committing to anything.
Another non surgical treatment uses a chemical injection such as BOTOX Cosmetic or Radiesse to smooth out the bumps and humps of a patient’s nose. Some people are concerned that it will make their nose appear larger but this is simply not true since it is very small amounts of injection. This is a great way to smooth out the contours of a nose and give it a better shape that will complement the rest of the face. It can sometimes be used in place of revision rhinoplasty surgery when a minor touch up is all that is required.
Rhinoplasty is often performed for the purpose of giving the person a more balanced face and shapelier nose. Most procedures are considered elective surgeries and therefore will not be covered by medical or health insurance. There are instances where the treatment can be a solution to a medical problem in which case it will be covered by most health insurances.
