Why My Friends Will Never Become Pro-Bloggers

I have two friends, and to save their blushes I will call them Dave and Sam.
Dave and Sam don’t have a load of money in the world, and I have been telling them of late how I am able to make money online through a combination of effort and applied intelligence, and how they could do the same if only they made a bit of an effort.  But they don’t, and perhaps this is why YOU will never become a pro-blogger.

They have good ideas but they are not commercial.

Both of them have an interest, you could even call it a passion.  One for photographing landscapes, the other for internet radio.  And both have adequate skills for writing.

However, having done some research on their behalf I discovered that there was very little money in either of these areas.  Go a little broader – photography and internet entertainment – and there is thousands to be made.  But not in the small niche areas that they are looking for.  It needs a combination of people searching for what you are willing to write about, and for there to be enough money in the industry to make it worth while through being able to monetize your blog by adsense, affiliate marketing, or even creating your own product.

Bottom line is that my friends aren’t willing to write about anything that would make them money.

Perseverance is not their strongest point

My two friends are wonderful, but they move from one great idea to another.  Blogging is not easy.  And sometimes you rack your mind trying to come with another great post idea.  But you have to keep persisting over time because that is what builds the traffic which gets you paid.  And that’s another thing. My friends want paying now!  It just doesn’t happen that way, you have to wait about a year to see any fruit.  But when it comes, it comes in shedloads!

Money and time sense

Blogging, no matter what anyone tells you, is not free.  It costs.  Not loads but there is  a cost involvement in terms of time (about 2 hours a night) and money because you need to pay modest hosting fees and for a domain name.  Mine cost about $10 a month.  To keep an eye on the income and outgoings I have some personal accounting software which is useful. Time…I have a wife to watch that I am not overdoing it!  But I do need to balance it with my other interests like road bike cycling, painting and drawing, and commitments to my family and friends.

So all in all, my friends don’t have these qualities.  They would rather do what they have always done and wish they had more money rather than do something about it.  I wonder about you?  Do you have the qualities to become a pro-blogger?

The Increase in Work From Home Jobs

Telecommuters are becoming the fastest growing work population in the workforce. People are starting to look at work from home jobs more seriously. No longer do people consider internet based work exclusive to stay-at-home moms. There are so many professions where some or all responsibilities can be performed online. Required work tools include a computer, a network, and discipline. Discipline is usually the hardest part of working from home. There are many distractions that can pull the most diligent worker away from the computer.

Once distractions start to interfere with performance and pay, the dishes and telephone begin to take a back seat to what is really important. It takes some trial and error to learn how to spot legitimate work from home jobs. Several components have to be evident before an online opportunity can be considered worth pursuing.

° Does the company have a comprehensive and active website?
° What is the system used for paying employees?
° How long has the organization been in business and is it stable?
° Are there others you can communicate with for feedback?
° Is there a support network for technical problems and questions?

If a business requires money upfront to be employed, it may be an indication of a scam. Some clerical work from home jobs like medical billing and transcription may require the purchase of software to participate. Some tech jobs may require the purchase of your own software and other tools of the trade, but to work for someone else certain tools should be provided.

Work from home jobs offer money saving benefits to the employer and the employee. It turns out you can make money in your pj’s after all. The word is out and traveling through the world wide web of opportunity while many are jumping on board. You may want to view this site: work from home jobs site for more information regarding these types of jobs.
