Phoenix Solar: Latest Solar Research Finds May Increase Efficiency of Solar Panels

The sun is an abundant and inexhaustible power source, and now more than ever it is being used to bring solar power into homes and businesses. The world of solar technology has been in full blossom as of late, with constantly changing and ever developing new technologies. Arizona solar companies believe that this may be one of the major factors in the decrease of solar panel sales, as business and homeowners may be constantly waiting for the next big solar breakthrough. Still, Phoenix solar authorities believe that a constant state of change may be just what’s needed to help us transition more quickly to a state where we will no longer have to rely on finite resources.

There is a lot of buzz among Phoenix solar experts when it comes to the new research that is being done in Spain. The University of Cantabria is taking part in a new research venture called the Sunglass project. Phoenix solar experts are excited about the prospects of this new research as it could make a huge difference in the solar industry. Phoenix solar officials state that researchers in Spain are attempting to use glass to increase the efficiency of solar cells.

Glass is a major component in the make up of solar panels so it only makes sense to use it as a means to help enhance the performance of solar panels, according to Phoenix solar experts. Researchers working on the Sunglass project are trying to use the “conversion of frequencies” phenomenon to develop a material that would ultimately be used as a glass coating on solar panels. The material has to behave in a certain way that would magnify the efficiency of solar cells.

Compounds which increase the efficiency of solar cells have be found. When applied to the type of glass to be used in new photovoltaic systems these compounds have created a significant increase in efficiency. Work is still in progress, but people are already interested in seeing how this could affect the industry.

Phoenix solar experts state that if it is successful it could greatly enhance sustainable development, building practices, and even homeowner interest in solar systems.
