Indian Weddings – A Primer

India is always pictured as an Asian country which is characterized by elephants and its famous spices. Moreover, they are also known for their infamous culture, especially when it comes to weddings.

For every Indian wedding ceremony, the central, theme would always be the bride and the groom. In the tradition of Indian culture, weddings are events which show the significant union of the bride and the groom. In this country, fixed marriages are rampant. It is often the parents who institute the terms of engagement or of the marriage. This practice is still evident in other countries today especially among the elite.

When having the wedding, it must be assumed that such is not an event which lasts only for a day but a lifetime celebration of love between couples. One of the most evident traditions on this event is the meeting of parents from both parties to begin the celebration. When this happens, a small feast is also added as a form of celebration. This is more like the groom asking permission from the parents of the bride.

In the Indian tradition, there is also a ritual the night before the wedding which is called Mehendi Ceremony. In this ceremony, seven women who are unmarried from both families paint the bride and groom using different painting materials such as henna, sandalwood paste, turmeric, and rose water. On the hands and the feet, the henna is used for painting.

Sometimes, beautiful patterns are used for the makeup on the wedding event. The name of the groom is also sometimes included in the design. On the morning, it is seen to be a cleansing ceremony. When both the bride and the groom are preparing for the ceremony, there are people who are dancing and singing outside the residence.

During the event, colorful garments are used in a ceremony held on a tent called mundap. The celebration is said to be festive and colorful. Unlike other tradition, it is the bride who waits for the groom. The bride’s sister meets the groom first and demands for a negotiated payment. The ribbon is cut and the ceremony begins once the deal is done.

The Indian wedding reception is often filled with fun. In this part of the event, all the extravagance is manifested. The whole community joins in celebration and the number of guests is very large.

It is quite interesting to examine the traditions of various cultures wedding practices. Not only that, but it can help a couple to mold their wedding wishes.

How To Get An Ex Back – Right Approach

How to get an ex back is not something that can magically occur.  It is often demanding and takes much dedication.  However, always be realistic.  Not all broken relationships are restore-able.  There are some steps that you can take that will give you a definite advantage in making it happen.

Free advice often comes in waves, for those that are in a broken relationship.  Our friends and family naturally want the best for us; however, this doesn’t mean that the advice they dispense will always be right.   Here are a few suggestions on how to get an ex back that will hopefully help focus you on the right approach:

1.  Let truthfulness guide you.  Admitting our mistakes, or recognizing our shortcomings, is frequently hard to do.  Truthfulness is always the best course of action to take.  When together with your ex, never try to skirt around a question, but be open and honest.  You should not be looking for the same old relationship, because it wasn’t successful.  A happy relationship, based on honesty and trust, is a priceless treasure and should be your goal.

2.  Don’t be desperate.  The approach to try to convince your ex to give the relationship another try is simply not effective; in fact, it often makes things worse.  Constantly trying to smother your ex with abrasive communication will only serve to belittle you in your ex’s eyes.  Desperate, whiny and needy people are not attractive to anyone.  So avoid phoning-texting your ex, this includes emailing as well.  Feelings need time to heal and continuous communication will be a stumbling block to this happening.

3.  Find out what went wrong.  Sometimes, it is very apparent why the relationship failed.  For some, it may take some deep digging to unveil the reason, or reasons, for failure.  You need to totally devote yourself to this task, because any new relationship that is established between you and your ex will likely see a repeat of the same problems, if these problems have not been successfully resolved.  This should be considered  imperative in your quest to get your ex back.

Five Easy Ways to Save Money, Paper & The Earth

Following all of these recycling tips can help not only your office but so much more. So much paper is wasted every day by millions. Finding ways to communicate for example by email will conserve paper greatly. Also, save used paper for scrap, make double-sided copies and only print pages you actually need. By cutting back on paper consumption, your office will save money and natural resources.
* Create a recycling program. Almost all types of office papers are recyclable. So is most plastic, aluminum and cardboard. If your office doesn’t already have a recycling program, contact your local recycling company to see how to start one.
* Recycle used products. If you recycle but don’t buy recycled products, you’re defeating the purpose, in a sense, by discouraging manufacturers of recycled products.

* Conserve paper. Find paperless ways to communicate, such as by e-mail. Also, save used paper for scrap, make double-sided copies and only print pages you actually need. By cutting back on paper consumption, your office will save money and natural resources.

* Recycle office equipment. Did you know that computers can be recycled, as well as cell phones, PDAs, pagers, chargers and rechargeable batteries? Many local recycling companies and retailers, including Staples, offer easy ways to recycle your equipment.  These are great money savings tips as well as going green and saving the Earth.

* Recycle empty inkjet and toner cartridges. The fewer drafts you print, the more money you’ll save on cartridge replacements. But when that inkjet or toner cartridge is empty, recycle it through mail-back programs or local retailers like Staples. There’s often a discount for recycled cartridges as well.

Also as a bonus, Staples offers a Recycle for Education program that gives $1 to local education charities for every empty inkjet or toner cartridge you recycle in their stores.

The Best Party Songs: Keeping Your Guests Happy

Choosing the best party songs for your get-together doesn’t have to be difficult if you follow a few easy suggestions. Think about it – you plan for what foods to cook, what party supplies you may need, and even what to wear to impress your guests – shouldn’t the playlist be on your to-do list as well? Having great music to dance to will make your guests’ night a memorable one, but having poor choice in your song order, or picking the wrong genre could make an otherwise enjoyable party a dud.

Consider the crowd that you are inviting over. Is it a bunch of old friends? Tap into some shared memories by playing the best party songs from your “heyday”; they’ll give everyone something to talk and reminisce about and really break the ice. Trying to have a nice dinner party with some new people? Set up two playlists of the best party songs – one of ambient jazz or other ambient music and another with more upbeat dance-style music: this double sided approach will ensure you’re ready for any sort of party mood. If you are expecting an older crowd, stick to ambient music without potentially shocking lyrics…a little thinking ahead will prevent your having to explain to older attending guests, exactly what that singer meant when they described a new act of romance.

With ipods and other music devices so affordable and readily available these days, playing the best party songs for your gathering is super simple. Just get a wire to plug your player into the tv, portable radio, or an affordable “dock” style charger with built in speakers, and soon you’ll be dancing to all the best party songs without having to worry about switching CDs constantly. After all, what fun is having a party if you don’t get to kick back and relax too?

Choosing Ruby Rings For Her

Ruby rings are great for any woman who would love to enjoy the beauty and wonder of a precious jewel. This is also something you should keep in mind while trying to pick out the perfect present for the woman in your life. Any woman loves jewelry, and they will love it even more if it is from you. There are various options for you to choose from when going out to buy her a ring that she will be sure to love, and wear wherever she goes; you just have to look for it is all. You might put a little extra effort into it, but it will be worth it once she sees it.

Many jewelry stores offer deals, and different jewels in different ring settings. Depending on what she likes to wear on her finger there should be something for her in every store. This is beneficial, but you will want to shop around before deciding on just one thing to buy since you might be able to get a lower price for the ring you choose to purchase for her. This is something that anyone looking to purchase any type of jewelry should do when shopping since you might be able to get the best price for the ring or necklace she would love to have.

There are also pearl rings that you can pick from when shopping for jewelry for her. This is something that she might also like as well. You have the option of choosing the type of stone you would like to give her, the type of metal the ring can be made from, and the style of ring you choose to give her. This can be beneficial if you would like a wide selection, and you’re not really sure what to get her so you would like something to choose from. This also gives you a larger price selection to choose from depending on the budget you have to spend on a ring for her.

First Date Standards

Don’t feel bad if first dates make you nervous. It is a natural reaction to an unusual circumstance. Maybe the reason why they can be so nerve-racking is because they can go either way. When a first date goes great, we feel on top of the world. But when it goes wrong, it can be a terribly embarrassing thing. And nothing is worse than knowing it went poorly and to have it confirmed by a rejection for a second date. So how do we make sure we have a great first date? There is no simple formula, but with a few simple tips you might be having a bit more success.

A first date is all about getting to know someone, so that’s what you should make sure to do. You don’t need to bother to impress the other person with fancy gifts or huge bundles of flowers. All you need is your own personality and some indication that you’ve put some effort into the date. Make the other person feel special and wanted. You can do this by simply paying close attention to what they say while sharing any pertinent information about yourself. So make sure to pick a spot where you can talk and get to know one another. Who knows, that simple walk along the beach may reveal that you are her true soulmate.

There are a few things you should never discuss when on a first date. Don’t talk about past relationships or people you’ve gone out with. This date is about new beginnings, not dwelling on the past. Not to mention the very real possibility that you will totally freak the other person out. Time spent on talking about bad breakups is time wasted. So avoid controversial topics like politics and religion and keep the conversation light hearted. Most of all be yourself and just try to have fun. Attraction comes naturally so you won’t be able to force it if you try. In time, you may be such an expert that you look forward to first dates on a regular basis.

Surrogacy vs. Adoption

Surrogacy and adoption are both means of obtaining a child and both cost serious amounts of money.  While surrogacy is oftentimes much more expensive than adoption, the benefit is having a child that is biologically yours.  Adoption, especially domestic adoption in the United States, can be a long wait if you wish to adopt and infant compared to that of an older child.  Of course, whether you are dealing with a surrogate mother or a birth mother, both scenarios can cause stress, emotional heartache, and financial burden that you must be well aware of ahead of time before diving into such an endeavor.

There are many types of surrogacy, but the average cost for the entire process is around $50,000.  Gestational surrogacy is when the birth mother is implanted with an embryo that she is not the biological mother of.  Straight or traditional surrogacy, the most common method, is where the birth mother is the biological mother of the child, but she agrees to relinquish the rights of the baby to the commissioning couple.  Often the father of this child is biologically the child of the male partner in the commissioning couple, but can also be that of a sperm donor.  Altruistic surrogacy is when the birth mother receives zero compensation for her role, this is a rare occurrence and happens most often within families.

Domestic adoption in the United States averages about $20,000 for a non-foster care infant.  This can be offset by a tax incentive of $11,000, which makes adoption much more affordable to many couples.  Those wishing to adopt an infant often wait years and years before getting one and usually have at least one failed adoption attempt.  Private adoptions have the risk of the birth mother changing her mind just after the baby is born or shortly after the new parents receive their baby.  This is devastating to the adoptive parents.  For these reasons, many people choose to adopt from other countries, which can cost more, but you avoid some of the heartbreak and hassle.

Will My Psychic Reading Come True?

Post provided by Psychic Reading On The Net

Many people who seek out a psychic reading are looking for a picture of what is to come, however, most psychics do not believe that their insight is the only possible outcome.  Believers feel that readings are most equipped to show a likely picture of the future, but it is very possible that the future will change based on a change in our own behavior or a change in some other variable.  Psychic abilities are not designed to override free will, and most psychics will even offer advice on changes that you can make in your own life to change your path.

For some, this ability to change your own future can be a great source of comfort, particularly after a more grim reading.  Psychics tend to look at patterns of behavior and make predictive judgments based on these patterns.  Again, though the scenarios that they outline are typically the most likely, changing one’s pattern of behavior can alter these events.  In many cases, when one is visiting a psychic about their troubled love life, for example, in addition to doing a reading, a psychic may offer advice on how to break damaging behavioral patterns.

This is also the reason why some psychics seem to make “mistakes.”  Because the course of events is not certain, there is no way to known, without a doubt, what the future will bring.  A good psychic will acknowledge this variability, and talk to you about their reasons for predicting what they predict and courses that may be taken to change this outcome.  Keep in mind, then, that a good psychic reading will often be a dialogue is which questions and concerns are encouraged.  Engaging your psychic in this way is the best way to make the most of your experience and your reading.
