Why invest in a Canon Pixma ip4500?

Color printers are now more affordable than they were 3-4 years ago, making them great choices for home and office use. Laser printers, in particular, are notorious for having incredibly expensive ink cartridges. Canon, however, has addressed this problem and some other issues common among color laser printers with its Pixma ip4500. There are several ways why one should seriously consider purchasing this printer.

For one, the Canon Pixma ip4500 printer is a good all-purpose printer. Making use of a five-color ink cartridge system, the maintenance costs for this printer is comparatively lower than other models in the market. A user may replace one ink cartridge and thus save on ink tank costs.

The versatility of the printer is another reason why the Canon Pixma ip4500 is highly recommended. It can work on different sizes of photos, from as small as a credit card to business envelopes, letter, up to legal sized paper. The speed of printing for photos is above average, making up for the quite slow printing for text and graphics.

While most people do not consider the design of a printer as a major consideration, the no-frills make-up of this printer makes it such a good buy. Additionally, the ip4500 has minimal controls, with only the presence of the power and cancel buttons, which means that this printer should be very easy to control.

Having two paper tray inputs make the printer stand out from other models. With that said, storage of both plain and photo paper should not be an issue. In addition to that, about 150 sheets of paper can be stored on both trays.

And because it comes from Canon, one can be assured that this printer is durable enough to last for a long time. These are just some of the good reasons why this printer is a highly recommended computer peripheral.

Case-Mate IPad Leather Case Review

Case-Mate is a leading manufacture in creating all different kinds of bags and protective cases. When Apple released the iPad, they automatically begun to sell half a dozen different kinds of cases especially designed to store and protect this device. Some of the models they offer are the felt and leather folio, hard rubber case, and several kinds of slipper cases.

The Walkabout is the best iPad case created by Case-Mate made from premium leather and perfectly fits the slim and sleek iPad. The overall design of this iPad leather case is quite simplistic, because it was mainly designed to protect the iPad from a scratches or bumps during transport. The Walkabout is also made to be used with just the plain iPad. This means that it does not allow for any other type of case to work in conjunction with it. However, you can use it with a plastic lamination cover on the screen or any other type of protection that is very thin.

The top opening design of this iPad case allows the machine to easily slide in and out of its compartment. There is just enough room to fit an iPad, not too tight and not too lose. Although this leather case for iPad has a very simplistic design, it is still very effective for protection. It will protect your iPad from minor bumps, bruises and scratches, but it will not be able to withstand a drop or significant pressure or force.

The overall quality is also impressive and the stitching is well done in all areas of the case. The leather material is very good quality but also a little thin to help save space. Thicker leather usually offers better protection, but it also increases the overall weight and size of the package. Priced at 80 dollars, the Case-Mate Walkabout is a great deal for a genuine leather iPad case cover.

Are Wireless Printer Routers Necessary?

Various gadgets keep popping up in the consumer industry. Sometimes it makes you wonder if they are really necessary or are they built only to make profits. In order to answer this question, we will take a look at what makes people want to buy these gadgets in the first place. Let us determine what makes these things useful than just connecting your printer to a computer.

The primary reason why people buy a wireless printer router is in order to connect a printer to a wireless network. With this advantage, any user that is connected to the network by wire or wireless has the capability to use the printer.

This advantage however can be offered by directly connecting a printer to a computer that is connected to a network. So why use a router? The existence of a router enables the host computer host to be relieved from printing tasks. By doing this, the host computer does not have to allocate some of its resources in order to get the job done. This increases your computer’s speed thereby increasing your computer’s productivity.

Another reason why people invest in a wireless printer router instead of a wired one is that it offers them convenience to use the printer wherever they are. Many people will pay money for these conveniences. Imagine yourself printing documents while you’re in your room or sending printing tasks to your printer while you’re in your patio sipping drinks.

One particular reason why people choose a wireless printer router is for space purposes. If your office does not have a lot of space, you may have a problem with the placement of your machine. With a wired connection, your printer’s location is limited by the length of your cables. If you have a wireless router, you can place your printer anywhere as long as the signal can still reach all the users that are accessing the network.

Some printer routers may cost a lot, which is why if you plan on buying a wireless printer router, it is important to know what features you need. We do not refer to features such as converting into a cappuccino machine. The features meant here are the features that make them effective wireless printer routers.

One feature that is important to consider is the area of coverage. The strength of the signal should be strong enough to accommodate users from the farthest ends of the room. Another feature that you need to consider is the memory size. In order for a printer router to be an effective printer server, it has to have adequate memory to accommodate printing jobs and relieving computer hosts of needed resources.

Wireless printer routers may be luxurious if you don’t need them at all. However, for some people where convenience helps a lot in keeping productivity levels to a maximum, for offices that that have a lot of mobile users who need to access printers, buying gadgets like these is necessary.

Plasma HDTVs Vs LCD HDTVs: Enough with this Nonsense

While there is a consumer tendency in favor of LCD HDTV sets, plasma televisions still remain as the second choice for many people. For others this technology is the best one and cannot be rivaled by other types of screens. This debate is an ongoing one that has lasted many years including the present. It is not rare to stumble into one of these Plasma Vs. LCD debates in many high definition forums and blogs. The reason of this debate is because both of these technologies has its own ups and downs.

While plasma sets are king when it comes to picture quality, warm colors and fast refresh rates; LCD are more reliable and excel in other aspects such as energy efficiency, reliability, less on screen glare and slimmer and lighter sets. Then what is the real answer to which is the best type of HDTV screen? The answer is: it depends. As simple as it may sound which of these screen types is best is relative to what the consumer is looking for. There is no definitive answer. It is all a matter of personal taste. For example, one consumer might be attracted by the colors and incapable picture quality of a plasma set while other consumers may be looking for an energy efficient or one that does not show signs of aging and maintains the same image quality throughout its lifetime.

As you can see, there is no real answer as to which of them is the best. In fact ,this is the reason why televisions using different screen technologies are still being produced and no technology has yet to be crowned as the standard for HDTV televisions. If you are interested in reading more about the topic you should visit the blog: FAQ HDTV. It has a ton of info about HDTV in very easy to read articles without getting too technical.

What to Consider When Purchasing LED TVs

The newest digital technology televisions on the market are LED TVs.  Before purchasing one of these machines it is important to know about the technology behind the product. LED TVs are LCD TVs using LED backlighting to light the liquid crystal display while the LCD TVs use fluorescent CCFL lighting. LCD TVs have a panel, which has pixels that are divided by the RGB sub-pixels, and the light passes through the panels. The intensity of the color determines how much light needs to pass through into the display.

LED TVs may not be considered true LED TVs because they use LED lights to light up a LCD panel. The CCFL lighting does not have the capacity to vary the intensity of the lighting because some light will seep through the display.

LED TVs use local dimming technology where individual LEDs can be shut off completely. Shutting the individual lights off completely can give a true black and higher contrast ratio.

There are different types of  LED TVs. Some use side lighting instead of the backlighting. The LEDs with the side lighting do not have the same local dimming effect as the backlight TVs and therefore, the contrast ratio is not as high. Another advantage to the LED TVs is that they can be as thin as 1.2 inches and facilitate any wall mounting.

There are many other things to consider when buying a LED TV. Considerations should be given for their aesthetics, available connections to allow the connection of other peripherals is also important. Make sure that it has the right amount and type of digital and analogue inputs to fit your needs.

One drawback to consider about LED TVs is that they are new to the market, which makes them more expensive than plasma and LCDs which currently dominate the market. Therefore, be sure to get a television that not only fits your needs but also fits your budget.
