Dancing in A Pink Leotard
Pink leotards are perfect for any little girl starting dance classes because they are not only the stereo-typical outfit but they are useful in dance class. Pink leotards are the most purchased dance apparel for young girls that are starting dance classes. This is because the pale pink is the classic color for ballet, next to black. Pink leotards are essential in a dance class because they are simple and elegant; a reoccurring theme in dance and dance expression. Also they are simply adorable layering pink tights and ballet shoes or tap shoes. You can even incorporate body warmers like leg warmers and sweater wraps that match your pink leotard, or a pink skirt to tie around your waist if you are wanting more coverage.
Some pink leotards are made with attached skirts. These are usually for the smaller girls around ages two to ten. These are not made for the necessary factors of having and wearing a leotard, such as to hold you in and allow your body to easily move through the movements of dance, but for the “cute factor” that is associated with the pink leotard and children taking dance class. These skirts are not to cover the hips and thighs, and are not attached for grace and elegance, as many skirts purchased individually are. These skirts are often more pleated and sewn on the leotard for decoration and visual accent.
Pink leotards are the essential item for beginning dancers because they are easy to find and there are many different styles and sizes to chose from. They are in such high demand in the dance world that it is easy to match other essential dance wear, such as tights, ballet shoes, body warmers, skirts, and hair accessories. Your little girl will fit right in on her first day at dance class or camp if she is wearing a pink leotard because not only will there be other girls wearing the same thing, but it is often a mandatory uniform in dance class.
