Why Not To Get Fake Nails

Fake nails seem to be so popular these days, and honestly for the life of me i cannot seem to figure out why.  I personally love a natural manicure without any of the unnecessary chemicals and fumes that go along with artificial nails.  By keeping a natural manicure, you don’t have to have your nails roughed up with a nail drill or some type of acid etch to give the acrylic resin something to stick to.  Also natural nails just look classy in my opinion.  I think fake nail designs can look so gauche and over done if they are not put on correctly.

Have you ever had acrylic nails for a while and noticed how gross they can look when they start to yellow?  I say you stick with your natural nails, because after an acrylic manicure, you always have to treat your nails with a strengthener because they are usually so much more brittle and weak.

I have had a gel nail manicure once before, but i got very tired of having to get the nails filled and refilled on a regular basis.  When i went to have my uv gels removed it took longer than it did to have them put on in the first place.  the nail technician had to use a nail drill to take off most of the uv gel, and then i had to soak my finger tips in acetone for somewhere near 45 minutes before the gel could be pushed off with an orange wood stick.  It wasn’t painful, but the amount of time it took was like pulling teeth, and i don’t think I’ll ever get a gel nail manicure again.

I don’t know what your thoughts are on fake nails and fake nail designs, but i hope i can provide a little advice: stay away.  Natural nail salons are so much more relaxing and they don’t smell like horrible chemicals all the time.  I have even thought about getting some vegan nail polish like spa ritual just to make sure that i am avoiding any gross chemicals and doing my part to be green.  I hope you take my advice, and really take care of your nails with a natural manicure.
